Abstract
The form factor ƒ +(0) is calculated from a set of assumptions of which the more important ones concern the saturation of the SU(3) × SU(3) charge algebra and the behaviour of the K π S-wave phase shift. We assume that it is dominated by a single resonance κ of finite width and coupled to both K π and Kη. Calculations are performed with resonance mass 900 MeV and 1100 MeV. In both cases, we find ƒ +(0) near 0.80 with a few percent uncertainty if the resonance width is around 150 MeV. If the width is around 450 MeV, we find ƒ +(0) between 0.90 and 1.
