The quantitative study of bibliographic material is referred to as bibliometric analysis. It presents a general overview of a research area where the published works can be classified based on countries, authors, publication years, keywords, and fields of research. This study aims to provide a bibliometric analysis of the research carried out in the field of device to device (D2D) communications in the past decade. The primary objective of this study is to find some of the most relevant and influential research papers in this field and define the newest trends as per the information available in the Web of Science database. During the course of this study, numerous classifications have been made based on different parameters such as the most productive and influential authors, and the most influential keywords and journals. The conclusions of this study are in line with the common wisdom, although certain deviations have been found.

PurposeThis study aims to provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of sports sponsorship research over the last 3 decades (1993–2024). By mapping the intellectual landscape of this field, the study seeks to identify key trends, prominent themes and the most influential authors and journals. Furthermore, the research addresses the ongoing challenge of evaluating the effectiveness of sponsorship investments, particularly in the digital age. The goal is to highlight emerging research areas.Design/methodology/approachThis study employs a bibliometric analysis using the SPAR-4-SLR protocol to systematically review the literature on sports sponsorship from 1993 to 2024. Data were sourced from the Web of Science (WoS) database, filtering results for articles written in English and excluding non-academic publications. A combination of bibliometric techniques – co-citation, co-word and co-authorship network analysis – was applied to examine intellectual structures and trends in the field. The Bibliometrix software was used for data analysis, providing a comprehensive evaluation of research productivity, collaboration patterns and emerging themes.FindingsThe bibliometric analysis reveals a significant increase in global sports sponsorship research, with a 12.69% annual growth rate from 1993 to 2024. Key themes such as corporate social responsibility (CSR), consumer behaviour and government regulation emerged as central topics. The study also highlights growing research interest in digital sponsorships, particularly within the eSports industry. Additionally, co-authorship analysis demonstrates increasing international collaboration, with 30.2% of publications involving multiple countries. The findings provide a clearer understanding of the intellectual landscape of sports sponsorship and suggest emerging research opportunities, particularly in digital marketing and advanced data analytics.Research limitations/implicationsThe analysis relies solely on the WoS database, which may have excluded relevant publications indexed in other databases such as Scopus or Google Scholar. Although WoS provides high-quality data, future research should integrate multiple databases to achieve a more comprehensive coverage of the field. Additionally, this study focuses primarily on articles published in English, potentially overlooking significant contributions from non-English sources.Originality/valueThis study provides a unique contribution by conducting the first comprehensive bibliometric analysis of sports sponsorship research over a 30-year period (1993–2024). By applying the SPAR-4-SLR protocol, it identifies emerging research areas such as the integration of big data and the role of psychophysiological methods in measuring sponsorship effectiveness. The research also highlights the increasing importance of digital sponsorship in industries like eSports. This work offers new insights into global collaboration patterns and reveals underexplored topics like the balance between global and local sponsorship strategies, thus providing valuable directions for future research and practical applications.

Taenia saginata (T. saginata), is a zoonotic helminth with a global distribution that causes taeniasis in humans and cysticercosis in cattle. Currently, Taenia saginata poses health risks to humans and causes economic losses in the livestock sector. The aim of this study is to explore the definition of T. saginata in the scientific community and the evolution of studies in this field through bibliometric analysis. The Web of Science database was used to search the literature on Taenia saginata. All English research articles published in the Web of Science database between 1980 and 2024 were identified. The data were analyzed using the “Bibliometrix” package of R programming language and VOSviewer. In the research conducted with 491 studies published in 168 journals, the most influential authors, countries and institutes as well as the most frequently used keywords for T. saginata were identified. Veterinary Parasitology was identified as the most influential journal in the field with 32 articles and 1017 citations. The most productive country was England, while Japan had the highest Multiple Country Publication rate. The most influential authors were Leslie Jayne Stevenson Harrison, Akira Ito, and Pierre Dorny. The most frequently used author keywords were “Taenia saginata”, “Taenia solium”, and “Cysticercosis”. This bibliometric study presents an overview of Taenia saginata research, including advancements and research collaborations in the field. Taeniasis remains a major problem in underdeveloped countries, particularly on the African continent. Control and eradication of taeniasis outbreaks in these regions should be prioritised, and given the potential for other countries to be affected by migration, research institutions in developed countries should initiate and fund joint projects with less developed countries.

Resilience is a particularly important quality for supply chains in this turbulent environment. Resilience in the supply chain is the ability to retain, resume, and recover operations after an intense destructive incident. One of the strategic solutions for managing supply chain disruptions is to establish collaboration and strategic alliances in order to achieve competitive advantage. Therefore, given the increasing publication of articles in areas of strategic alliances and supply chain resilience, it is a good opportunity to review these articles, identify gaps in the current literature, demonstrate links between the two areas, and provide suggestions for future research. For these purposes, a bibliometric analysis has been performed on literature available on the Web of Science database. The distribution of articles based on year and country, influential journals, research areas, authors, affiliations, keywords, citations, and reference co-citation analysis are discussed. Results indicate that studies about strategic alliances, meant to increase resilience, are growing in areas such as “Management”, “Operations research”, “Management science”, and “Business”. Furthermore, the sources could be categorized into five clusters; namely “From knowledge concept to value creation”, “Internal and external relationships”, “Logistics and supply chain performance”, “Intellectual capital and strategic management”, and “Critical success factors and alliances”. This article can be useful for both practitioners and academics who explore the topic of strategic alliances and resilience in the supply chain, and also offers managers the opportunity to overcome supply chain disruptions and negative consequences of risks by becoming familiar with the key concepts of resilience. The persistence of businesses and supply chains is guaranteed through communicating with partners and even competitors in the light of alliance according to the findings of this research. Managers can pay attention to the integration of the supply chain to improve resilience and increase collaboration between suppliers and customers. Given the research results, strategic alliances can be noted in expanding organizational entrepreneurship and shaping strategic collaboration networks in light of strategic alliances.

Purpose This study outlines the key research areas, recent trends and future research directions in information communication technologies (ICTs) enabled entrepreneurship, as research activities on ICTs in entrepreneurship have gained significant momentum in recent decades, driven by technological advancements and business innovativeness. Design/methodology/approach In this paper, we used a bibliometric systematic literature review, including citation, co-citation and keyword analysis of 182 documents published from 2005 to 2024 and exported from the Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) databases. We have also utilized bibliometric coupling analysis to determine emerging themes in this area. Findings The most productive year was 2023, and the most productive journal, institute and country are the “Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development,” “Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications” and the UK, respectively. The “Journal of Enterprise Information Management” is the most influential journal. A future research direction is proposed based on the six emerging clusters and identified gaps. Research limitations/implications The study is based on the exclusive use of the Scopus and WoS databases, which could be expanded to other databases. Only articles were considered, excluding book chapters and conference papers. Originality/value The study is distinctive as it recognizes the intellectual structure and advancement in ICT-enabled entrepreneurship. By comprehensively reviewing the existing literature, the study proposes a novel conceptual framework to serve as a foundation for future studies, offering significant insights for academics and practitioners to navigate the evolving landscape of this area.

To conduct a bibliometric analysis, several researchers retrieve publications from Scopus or/and Web of Science (WOS) databases. When these scholars consider both Scopus and WOS databases, they mostly make two bibliometric analysis: one from Scopus database and the other from WOS database. A few researchers merge the two databases to conduct a single analysis, but they do not specify how they did it. This paper aims to advance the bibliometric analysis by addressing two points. First, this research claims that making a bibliometric analysis that takes information from Scopus or/and separately from WOS cannot give a broader view of knowledge and tendencies in a field. To prove this claim, we retrieve papers from Scopus and WOS databases to make a bibliometric analysis of sales force literature that covers from 1912 to 2019. Results show that there are many disparities between WOS and merged database, and between this latter and WOS database regarding bibliometric analyses, especially among primary productive authors, the most influential papers, and keyword occurrences. Second, this research proposes a four-step procedure that merges these two databases to allow more reliable bibliometric analyses. This procedure was explicitly shown by using the bibliometric analysis of sales force literature during 1912–2019.

The rapid advancement of technology has strengthened the relationship between health tourism and artificial intelligence (AI), making this field increasingly important from both academic and practical perspectives. In the context of health tourism, AI-supported technologies play a critical role in developing marketing strategies, enhancing patient experience and service quality, and improving operational efficiency in healthcare services. This study aims to examine academic research on AI-supported health tourism through a bibliometric analysis. Within the scope of the study, publications indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) database were analyzed in terms of annual scientific production, leading authors and countries, collaboration networks, influential journals, frequently used keywords, and emerging research trends. The findings indicate that academic publications on AI-supported health tourism have been indexed in the WoS database since 1990 and have shown a marked increase, particularly after 2019. The highest number of publications was reached in 2024, with a total of 50 studies published. In total, 207 studies were published across 177 different sources, with an average annual growth rate of 5.72%. A total of 1,037 researchers contributed to these publications, with an average of 5.22 authors per study, indicating a strong collaborative research structure. Sensors emerged as the most productive journal, while Artificial Intelligence in Medicine was among the most highly cited sources. In terms of geographical distribution, researchers from the United States produced the highest number of publications, followed by China and Italy. Keyword analysis revealed that the most frequently used terms included artificial intelligence, system, model, internet, diagnosis, and wellness. The significant increase in AI-related studies after 2019 highlights the growing prominence of artificial intelligence as a central research theme within health tourism. Overall, the findings suggest that AI-supported health tourism will continue to attract increasing academic attention and will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the sector.

Enrico Bartolini (“ An Exact Algorithm for the Pickup and Delivery Problem with Time Windows ”) holds a postdoctoral position at the University of Bologna. His research activity concerns the study and development of heuristic and exact algorithms for solving combinatorial optimization problems with applications in logistics and distribution systems, in particular network design problems and some generalizations of the vehicle routing problem. Saif Benjaafar (“ Optimal Control of an Assembly System with Multiple Stages and Multiple Demand Classes ”) is professor of industrial and systems engineering at the University of Minnesota, where he is also founding and current director of the Industrial & Systems Engineering Program, director of the Center for Supply Chain Research, and a faculty scholar with the Center for Transportation Studies. He was a Distinguished Senior Visiting Scientist at Honeywell Laboratories and a visiting professor at universities in France, Belgium, Hong Kong, China, and Singapore. His research is in the areas of supply chain management, service and manufacturing operations, and production and inventory systems, with a current focus on sustainability and environmental modeling. Roger Calantone (“ How Peripheral Developers Contribute to Open-Source Software Development ”) is the Eli Broad Chaired University Professor of Business at Michigan State University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts. He has served on over 125 dissertation committees and has coauthored numerous articles in academic journals in the areas of innovation, systems and product development, and decision support systems for innovation processes and routines. Vijay Gurbaxani (“ IT Outsourcing Contracts and Performance Measurement ”) is the Taco Bell Endowed Professor and director of the Center for Research on IT and Organizations at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine. An Empirical Analysis of User Decision in Peer-to-Peer Sharing Networks ”) is a research associate in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences at Northwestern University. He received his Ph.D. in management science and information systems from the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on social network analysis, individual behavior in e-commerce applications, and recommender systems. His work has appeared in the Communications of the ACM, New Media & Society, ACM Transactions on Internet Technology, and ACM/IEEE proceedings. Sora Kang (“ Research Note: A Multilevel Analysis of the Effect of Group Appropriation on Collaborative Technologies Use and Performance ”) is currently an assistant professor for the Division of Digital Business, Hoseo University. She has a Ph.D. from the Ewha Womans University in management information systems. Her research interests include adoption and performance of IT, organizational politics and knowledge management, and organizational impact of information technology.
