Abstract

Based on the memory of old components of the samba school Beija-Flor de Nilópolis, this article proposes an analysis of the view constructed by these social actors on the dynamics of functioning of the carnival organization from the 1950s until middle 70s. The objective of the article is to show how the samba school grew in its first phase as an alternative in the net of leisure at that time present in the city of Nilópolis.
