A aviação e a segurança de voo em um contexto evolutivo da ciência

Abstract

Considering the evolution of Flight Safety since the beginning, it has been that the path followed by such activity, together with the aeronautical industry, has followed the evolutionary path of technology, throughout the decades of the 20th century, mainly. Based on a review of the literature that deals with the advances in science, this work lends itself to analyzing the situation of technological evolution, providing improvements regarding aviation. The advances, translated in the manufacture of aircraft and in the transport of passengers and cargo, also made the approach to aeronautical accidents in order to adopt a scientific methodology. Such a scientific approach, allied with normalization of procedures, prevents and makes aviation an extremely safe mode. In this work, a reading of the moments that science went through, since the Second World War, was carried out, as well as the path followed in this evolution, on a global level, as a result of advances in knowledge, in aviation and in flight safety.
