Abstract

This article aims to address the challenges faced by pedagogical coordination in managing a public school in the municipality of Feira de Santana, Bahia, seeking to understand the relationship between family and school and the obstacles that arise in this context. It is a study based on the experience of Supervised Internship in Management and Pedagogical Coordination. In this direction, our guiding question is: what are the challenges faced by pedagogical coordinators, from a public school in the municipality of Feira de Santana, in mediating the relationship between family and school? The study is based on the critical theoretical framework of the field of educational policies and democratic management. The methodology employed was documentary research and participant observation. The results of the analysis indicate that the school seeks, through actions, to involve the family in important decisions and maintain constant dialogue with the school community.
