Abstract
A 550 MeV electron race-track microtron is described. The race-track microtron should be used as an injector for a pulse-stretcher/storage ring currently being built. Some of the basic theory for the race-strack microtron is discussed and some parameter values for the race-track microtron are given. The possibility of using the race-track microtron as a 550 MeV position source is also discussed.
