Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the outcome of physical fitness sampled junior high school seven graders studying in Dong-Hu Junior High School from 2005 to 2007. The physical fitness performance of the freshmen and the difference among them were examined. The result was dedicated to physical fitness in school teaching and also for physical education course design. The result was as following: 1. Boy students from different school years were found to show difference significantly on height, weight, flexibility, sit-ups, and cardiovascular endurance. 2. Girl students from different school years were found to show difference significantly on height, weight, flexibility, sit-ups, standing broad jump, and cardiovascular endurance. 3. Students from different school years were found to show difference significantly on height, weight, BMI index, flexibility, sit-ups, standing broad jump, and cardiovascular endurance.
