Abstract
Since 1999 the Minimal Access Cranial Suspension lift, published in PRS in 2002, has been the cornerstone of our facial rejuvenation strategy. Its principles, vertical lifting of facial features with the help of resorbable purse string sutures in the mobile SMAS, anchored to the deep temporal muscle fascia, remain valid in almost all situations. Vertical redraping and trimming of skin remains a key requirement for natural, stable results, and will often result in a short preauricular scar.
