Abstract

This chapter discusses the properties of relationships. The degree of relationship is explained with examples. A more precise way of defining the degree of a relationship is in terms of determinancy constraints between the identifiers of the entity types concerned, and this discussed in the next section. The participation conditions and multiplicity are described with examples. .
