Abstract

Nanostructures are fascinating the scientific world with their novel properties and significant applications, which has been seen in the past few decades. The buildup of structure-property-processing-application and performance at nanoscale allows researchers to extend their outputs into newer directions. A lot needs to be done, but in this small time gap of few decades, the technology related to nanoscale has already made its mark and challenged the prevalent solutions in various applications and products. It is not very difficult to find a nano aspect in anything, and everything we do in the laboratory, with existence of such disruptive techniques and equipment available in the scientific arena. The chapter tries to trace the historical significance of knowledge of nano and how it is evident that nanostructures could be crucial in futuristic applications. Here we also try to figure out as to how nanostructures or nanoscale approaches are more beneficial and worthy in comparison to other conventional materials. Emphasis is also given to integration of all other pivotal technologies of the future, while trying to focus on simplicity of operations for nanoscale.
