Abstract
The Precambrian basement of the North China platform/craton is overlain by Proterozoic and Paleozoic platform sediments. Jurassic and Cretaceous rifts systems precede the formation of Cenozoic rifts. Hydrocarbon reserves occur in a wide variety of structural stratigraphic settings.
