Abstract

The use of cannabis is highly prevalent in individuals with bipolar disorder (BD). Associations have been found between cannabis use and increased symptoms of psychosis. Further research delineating the use of cannabis versus other substances is needed among patients with affective disorders. This study examined the prevalence of current and prior use of cannabis, alcohol, stimulants, and nicotine among individuals with BD.
