Abstract

Guidelines and standards for short-circuit analysis have been developed in some countries. These generally aim at producing consistency and repeatability of conservative results or results that are sufficiently accurate for their intended purpose. In this chapter, we summarise the data requirements, modelling and calculation steps given in international IEC 60909-0, American IEEE C37.010 and UK ER G74 approaches. We include IEC 60909-0 treatment of inverter-interfaced generators such as wind and solar generators.
