Abstract
Fine-needle aspiration (FNA) is an effective tool for tissue biopsy and diagnosis. It is a straightforward technique, but practice is required to obtain proficiency and maximize the utility of this procedure. This chapter presents common methods for performing FNA, guided by palpation or ultrasonography, and preparing the obtained sample.
