Abstract

To maintain the food demand under higher population pressure and climate change, become a major issue for the modern agricultural system. Past several decades’ chemical fertilizers strategy got popularity to improve the crop yield, but it leads hazardous effect to the ecosystem. Application of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) has gained attention and use of nanotechnology to improve activity and specificity of bioformulation and pesticides is a better choice. PGPR and nanotechnology have been proven an effective way of increasing crop yield and positive impact on other areas like detection of pollution, plant disease resistance, pesticide management most importantly building up the soil fertility. Bioformulation, nanoscale agricultural devices, and nanoencapsulation are the recent technologies emerged for the advancement of our agricultural practice. Nanotechnology-based PGPR engineering is now the most recent development influencing the agronomic sector worldwide.
