Abstract

In this work we describe the technology employed to develop a second generation high efficiency amber OLED panel for the healthcare industry. The significant difference between this and the first generation offering is that the new product utilizes phosphorescent emitting materials, resulting in 60 lm/W power efficacy. Additionally, long lifetime and good uniformity was achieved by stacking of multiple emissive layers. Development of this amber product utilized extensive reliability and qualification testing including usage of modern statistical methodologies to ensure a robust product with excellent quality.
