Abstract

Abstract Effects of a small admixture of the ferroelectric phase symmetry are evident in the 75As NMR lineshape up to at least room temperature; i.e., more than three times the transition temperature of Tc = 97 K. Analysis of the temperature-dependent lineshape allows a determination of the temperature dependence of the polarization distribution function. It is demonstrated that essentially all arsenic nuclei experience this small polarization in the paraelectric phase.
