Abstract

In recent years, clean energy is expected because of environmental issues such as global warming and depletion of fossil fuels. As a way to solve these problems, fuel cell vehicles have been attention because the fuel of the fuel cell vehicle is hydrogen that is one of the clean energy. Currently, components such as valve housing have been built to fuel cell vehicles, but there is a need for lighter weight and low cost for the dissemination of fuel cell vehicles. For investigating the hydrogen embrittlement of aluminum alloy 6000 series of six type, in this study, we investigated the six types of samples by the low strain tensile test under moist air environment. As a result of the investigation, no.1 of alloy have not been able to confirm the hydrogen embrittlement.
