Abstract
In the thin elastic plate theory, bi-harmonic displacenent function or complex variable stress function methods are widely used. We propose harmonic displacement potentials method. Then we can solve complicated multi-connected domain problems. In this paper, we present an analytic solution for a semi-infinite elastic plate containing an elliptic hole under transverse bending at infinity.
