Abstract
Seat cover materials are present as multi-material composite systems of textile and foam layers with permanent fixed connection. Threedimensional textile structures offer novel possibilities in construction of seat cover materials. These structures can be manufactured by different technologies. Nonwovens and warp-knitted spacer fabrics with strong three-dimensional properties will be described within this chapter. The achieved elastic properties of such materials are comparable with actual used material. When PUR foam is replaced by a textile structure, the seating climate comfort will be improved. Furthermore, the system consists of 100% textile materials. This fact permits the recycling and re-use in textile structures. It is even possible to manufacture the material system as a singlematerial composite system.
