Abstract
AbstractWe have succeeded in developing an IPS mode 10.4″ TFT‐LCD with a wide‐viewing angle of ±70°, high brightness of 400 nits and a wide operating temperature range (from −30° to 70 °C) for aircraft application. This performance is realized by using a new LC material and a new IPS‐TFT array structure with top‐level pixel/common electrodes and a new BM structure.
