Abstract
Abstract An unknown present in Schaeffer’s salt is identified as 6,6′-oxybis (2-naphthalenesulfonic acid), DONS. A method is presented for the determination of DONS in commercial Schaeffer’s salt by column chromatography and UV spectrophotometry.
