Abstract

The Family Well-Being Program (FWP) is a novel multitiered treatment program for early childhood and family mental health prioritizing culturally responsive, family-based approaches. FWP was developed using a Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) framework within a Head Start early childhood education center (ECEC) serving primarily Black families in a large urban community. The presentation describes FWP and details processes by which CBPR facilitated community-driven program development.
