Abstract

63,65Cu NQR spectra were studied at 4.2 K for several ceramic and crystalline Bi-based cuprates of various compositions, including 65Cu-enriched 2212 sample. The lineshape was found to be almost similar for the samples with different Cu positions and isotopes. It is supposed that the predominant source of line broadening comes from the structural modulation. The observed lineshape is analogous to the complex NQR spectra with two asymmetrical edge-peaks typical for incommensurate phases in dielectrics. New 63,65Cu NQR lines were found for Bi 4Sr 8Cu 5O 19 phase which may be present in superconducting compounds as an impurity.
