In the third edition of Diagnostic Surgical Pathology of the Head and Neck , Chapter 6 provides a most comprehensive description of Salivary gland pathology. The chapter contains details of embryology, anatomy, developmental, inflammatory, immunological and other non-neoplastic disorders which tend to be neglected in most surgical pathology books mainly focused on tumour pathology.
