Abstract

We introduce a projection‐type holographic 3D display in which a digitally designed holographic optical element (DDHOE) fabricated by the wavefront printing technique and digital holographic projection technique were combined. Since this system can achieve a higher degree of freedom of display size and visual angle via see‐through DDHOE screen, it will accelerate the adoption of holographic three‐dimensional displays in industrial applications, such as digital signage, in‐car head‐up displays, smart‐glasses and head‐mounted displays.
