5. The Rapid Development of Preschool Education Calls for Equality
Abstract
Since the promulgation of the educational Outline of the Plan , a series of measures have been taken nationwide including the launch of the "Three-Year Action Plan for Pre-school Education", which facilitated the rapid development of preschool education. The National Education Outline attached great importance to the development of preschool education in rural areas, striving to enhance the universalization of preschool education in rural areas. "Meanwhile, "promoting preschool education in rural areas" became one of the 10 major projects that were organized and implemented by the state. The existing "two-track system" in preschool education still severely hinders equality. Considering the status quo, it is our urgent task to adopt legislative measures to establish a fair preschool education mechanism so as to eliminate discrimination, curb chaotic situation, and deliver equal access to preschool education. Keywords: equality; fair preschool education mechanism; preschool education; rapid development; two-track system
