Abstract

This chapter presents several statistics concepts that are useful when analyzing biomedical data. The focus is specifically placed on using statistical methods to evaluate feature importance after clustering, to better interpret cluster composition. The chapter is written from a statistical perspective where foundational terminology and concepts are introduced to connect statistical data analysis tools with their application in cluster evaluation.
