Abstract
In this chapter, a metal bar model fixed at both ends is first employed to demonstrate thermal elastic-plastic-creep behavior. Then, based on both simulation results and experimental measurements, the characteristics of welding residual stress distributions in a number of typical welded joints are briefly introduced, and the formation mechanics of welding residual stress in some special joints are also described.
