Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of how to prevent breaches in computer security system of a company. Having arrived at the decision, take steps to make organization's computer systems as impervious to outside interference as the budget will stand. It is recommended to maintain a healthy suspiciousness in the attitude toward the staff that uses someone else's computer system. Constantly, reviewing and update of computer security procedures is also a necessary step to prevent any computer security breach. Ongoing training of staff on computer security systems permits the compilation of an audit trail to reveal who accessed a particular system and when. Steps to control the process by which organization's computer programs are developed and tested should also be taken.
