Abstract
PrefaceThe 4th International Scientific and Technical Conference on Scientific and Technical Progress in Ferrous Metallurgy (SATPIFM-2019) was held in Cherepovets, Vologda Region, Russia on September 18th - 20th, 2019. The organizers of the Conference are: PAO Severstal and Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Cherepovets State University”.SATPIFM is the regular international conference series in Russia. Initially it was held in Cherepovets biannually since 2013.The goal of the conference is to bring together scientific and research teams in the field of ferrous metallurgy, as well as the representatives of the enterprises that operate in the steelmaking industry, in order to exchange innovations and to implement them, to search for the best proposals and ideas for solving urgent global problems for the metallurgical industry, to develop a scientific and research network, collaborations and international cooperation.The conference was attended by more than 150 representatives of 12 countries (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Israel, Switzerland, Japan), 17 universities (Cherepovets University, Vologda University, Higher School of Economics, National University of Science and Technology MISiS, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow Polytechnic University, Moscow Aviation Institute, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, Lipetsk University, Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University, Ural Federal University, Nizhny Tagil Institute of Technology, Donetsk National Technical University, Dahl Luhansk National University, Rudny Industrial Institute, Karaganda State Industrial University), 14 manufacturing enterprises (Cherepovets Steel Mill, Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, Novolipetsk Steel Plant, EVRAZ, Nippon Steel, Accusteel Ltd., Chepetsky Mechanical Plant, Volzhsky Pipe Plant, Ashinsky Metallurgical Works, Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant, Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant, KAMAZ, Illich Mariupol Steel and Iron Works, Yenakiyeve Iron and Steel Works) and more than 40 scientific and research, design, research and production organizations (I. P. Bardin Central Research Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy, National Research Centre “Kurchatov Institute”, Prometey Central Scientific Research Institute, Institute of Strength Physics and Materials Science of the Siberian Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Metallurgy of the Ural Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences, SMS Digital GmbH, SIEMENS, Schneider Electric, Steelmasters bvba, Sojitz LLC, Research Network Lukasiewicz - Tele & Radio Research Institute, Severstal-Project, Research Centre “Metallurgy of High Technologies”, Ferrous Metallurgy Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Lechler GmbH, FIVES KEODS, Severstal-Infocom, ZAO Prochnost, etc.).This collection of articles includes the articles which were selected by the experts of the organizing committee from a large number of submitted reports and speeches.The conference organizing committee would like to thank all the guests of the conference for their participation, prepared reports and the publication of the latest achievements of science and technology in the metallurgical field.
