Abstract

Although primary care providers (PCPs) could achieve early identification of adolescent depression, they report inadequate training in depression care. This session describes a model for experiential depression training using standardized patients and demonstrates the long-term impact of this PCP training on the screening and diagnosis of adolescent depression in primary care.
