Abstract

Obese women undergoing cesarean delivery (CD) are at increased risk of surgical site infection. Despite little supporting data, some national societies recommend that obese women receive 3 rather than 2 gm of preoperative prophylactic cefazolin. Therefore, our objective was to compare tissue concentration among obese women receiving pre-cesarean prophylaxis with 2 vs. 3 gm of cefazolin.
