Abstract
The material flow in the cross-section of a kiln is important to the transport mechanisms such as particulate mixing and energy transport within the bed of material. This chapter describes some case studies carried out with the objective of understanding and to improving the predictive capabilities of the rheological behavior of granular materials in rotary cylinders needed for the efficient operation and quality control of the product.
