Abstract

In the modern life, sensors are utilized in the home, office, car, and other places to detect human presence and perform functions such as turning on lights, regulating room temperature, detecting fires, and more. Sensor has become a “buzz word” in today’s world, and its difficult to fathom life without it. They are important in a variety of industries, including housing, industry, aviation, medicine, and vehicles, to name a few. Sensors can be made out of a variety of materials. Ceramic sensors, on the other hand, have significance and advantages over sensors composed of other materials. This chapter is going to focus on ceramic sensors and their uses in many fields, as well as the materials used to make them and how they work. Ceramic sensors and their applications in industry, including the medical, automotive, and aviation sectors, are included in this chapter.
