Abstract
In the title compound, C18H19BrO4, the aromatic rings enclose a dihedral angle of 81.9 (7)°. There are no short directional contacts in the crystal structure.

Ester derivatives of many compounds exhibit a variety of pharmacological properties, for example anticancer, antitumor and antimicrobial activities (Anadu et al, 2006; Bi et al, 2012; Bartzatt et al, 2004). In view of their importance, the title compound was synthesized and we report on its crystal structure
The cell e.s.d.'s are taken into account individually in the estimation of e.s.d.'s in distances, angles and torsion angles; correlations between e.s.d.'s in cell parameters are only used when they are defined by crystal symmetry
