Abstract

In the title compound, C18H19BrO4, the aromatic rings enclose a dihedral angle of 81.9 (7)°. There are no short directional contacts in the crystal structure.

Highlights

  • In the title compound, C18H19BrO4, the aromatic rings enclose a dihedral angle of 81.9 (7)

  • Ester derivatives of many compounds exhibit a variety of pharmacological properties, for example anticancer, antitumor and antimicrobial activities (Anadu et al, 2006; Bi et al, 2012; Bartzatt et al, 2004). In view of their importance, the title compound was synthesized and we report on its crystal structure

  • The cell e.s.d.'s are taken into account individually in the estimation of e.s.d.'s in distances, angles and torsion angles; correlations between e.s.d.'s in cell parameters are only used when they are defined by crystal symmetry
