Abstract
In article number 2101091, Joshua A. Jackman, Nam-Joon Cho, and co-workers develop an oil-absorbing sponge from natural pollen grains. The pollen sponge is readily functionalized with abundant fatty acids and can repeatedly remove various oils from contaminated water. The pollen sponge demonstrates comparable performance to synthetic plastic absorbents along with an improved environmental footprint for sustainability.
