The dynamic dual‐randomization is used to promote the destructive interference of crosstalk noise resulting from blending a large number of common shot gathers into a supergather. We compare our multisource algorithm with various algorithms in a numerical experiment using the 3D SEG/EAGE overthrust model and show that our algorithm provides a higher‐quality velocity tomogram than the other methods that use only monorandomization. This suggests that increasing the degree of randomness in phase encoding should improve the quality of the inversion result.Permalink: https://doi.org/10.1190/1.3513025FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited byRandomized Source Sketching for Full Waveform InversionIEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, Vol. 60Full waveform inversion with an amplitude increment coding-based data selection30 July 2020 | Exploration Geophysics, Vol. 52, No. 2Seismic Imaging, Overview27 May 2021An efficient super-virtual shot encoding scheme for multisource reverse time migrationXiaofeng Jia, Wenyang Chen, and Bin Chen23 November 2020 | GEOPHYSICS, Vol. 85, No. 6Frequency extension and robust full-waveform inversion based on nth power operation27 August 2020 | Acta Geophysica, Vol. 68, No. 5Convolution Coding and Amplitude Attenuation-Based Full Waveform InversionIEEE Access, Vol. 8Acquisition design for direct reflectivity and velocity estimation from blended and irregularly sampled data22 July 2019 | Geophysical Prospecting, Vol. 67, No. 8Full-waveform inversion with multisource frequency selection of marine streamer data5 June 2018 | Geophysical Prospecting, Vol. 66, No. 7CMFWI: Coupled Multiscenario Full Waveform Inversion18 July 2016 | Inverse Problems in Science and Engineering, Vol. 25, No. 7Least-squares reverse time migration with local Radon-based preconditioningGaurav Dutta, Matteo Giboli, Cyril Agut, Paul Williamson, and Gerard T.
