Abstract

This work presents methodological approaches to investigate 3D forced vibrations of simply supported multilayer magneto-electro-elastic plates. Multilayered multifunctional plates with orthotropic layers are considered. Harmonic transverse stress is used and the propagation matrix is presented at each layer. The dynamic responses of 3D displacements, stresses, and electric and magnetic displacements are analyzed with respect to the thickness direction and excitation frequency. This formalism is effective for thin and thick multilayered plates. Moreover, this study in forced vibrations makes it possible to overcome the 3D problems of computation time and storage commonly encountered in the solution of the eigenvalue problem.
