Background: We use claims data and electronic health records (EHR) to estimate the diagnosed prevalence of solar urticaria (SU), an exceedingly rare primary idiopathic photodermatosis, and cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE), a secondary photodermatosis associated with lupus erythematosus.
