Abstract

In the evaluation of breast mass, ultrasonography is a valuable adjunctive to mammography in tumor characterization by analysis of shape, orientation, margin, lesion boundary, echo pattern, posterior acoustic features and surrounding tissue. It is important for radiologists to be familiar with these ultrasonographic features of benign and malignant breast mass to improve the sensitivity and specificity of diagnosis. In this exhibit, we will present various ultrasonographic findings of benign and malignant breast mass based on over 1000 histology confirmed cases and by using ACR BI-RADS US lexicons.
