Abstract

Exosomes are small extracellular vesicles that play an important role in cellular homeostasis, infection diseases, autophagy, immunity, and cellular communication. Recently, several works deciphered the remarkable role of exosomes in diagnosis and therapeutical applications. Indeed, exosomes constitute currently an essential marker of certain diseases such as diabetes and cancer. Moreover, they are also applied as therapeutical strategies to fight against these diseases. In the present chapter, the functions of exosomes were highlighted, as well their role in diagnosis and therapeutic applications.
