Abstract
Background: Cytogenetic aberrations (CA) have been routinely used for risk-stratification of patients for allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and are known to be associated with overall survival (OS). Existing risk-stratification tools typically use specific CA. Here we introduce an application of object-oriented regression technique (OOR) to assess the prognostic impact of global CA on OS, i.e., a holistic association, as opposed to conventional reductionist approach. The goal is to build a prediction model (PM) and risk score (RS) for OS, after HCT.
