Abstract
Abstract (2Z)-4-Hydroxy-2-methyl-2-buten-1-yl-s-D-glucopyranoside 1a and (2Z)-1-Hydroxy-2-methyl-2-buten-4-yl-s-D-glucopyranoside 2a were identified in a glycosidic extract obtained from Riesling grapevine leaves by XAD-2 adsorption and MeOH elution. After prefractionation of the crude glycosidic mixture with multi-layer coil countercurrent chromatography (MLCCC) the new hemiterpene glucosides were purified by HPLC and characterized as pentaacetates 1b and 2b.
