Abstract
The mutual coupling effect seriously affects the steering vector of the array, resulting in poor performance or even failure of the traditional algorithms and algorithms for estimation. The estimation under the mutual coupling condition generally involves the joint estimation of the mutual coupling matrix of the array and the arrival direction of the signal, which has the disadvantages of difficult search of the two-dimensional spectral peaks and large computational effort. In this paper, an estimation algorithm based on a shaped array is proposed without the need for mutual coupling matrix estimation. The estimation of the signal is accomplished by reasonably selecting two subarrays that are rotationally invariant under the influence of mutual coupling.
