Abstract

Electrodynamic simulation based on the finite-element method is used to study characteristics of a plane 2D-periodic antenna array consisting of 32 TEM horns with a feeder. For each of two power dividers in the feeder of the array, the reflection coefficient is less than –25 dB in a frequency interval of 0.3–7 GHz. The antenna array is matched with the feeder system at a level of –10 dB in the in-phase mode for scanning in a sector of 90° in the H-plane (E-plane) with a bandwidth of 19 : 1 (15 : 1).
