Abstract

This study was performed to confirm viability and differentiation in culture of bone marrow cells cryopreserved since 1972. Materials and Methods were presented previously as part 1. Bone marrow cells from 293 advanced cancer patients were collected and frozen in 1972 for allogeneic and after 1982 for autologous transplantation. Containers with bone marrow which were not re-infused into patients were continuously preserved in a liquid nitrogen stock.
