Abstract

Electro adhesive gel (EAG) shows a unique characteristic changing its surface adhesive property according to the applied electric field. This unique property is named as electro-adhesive effect (EA effect). EAG has been applied to fixture and brake mechanisms owing to its characteristic. However, the individual difference of EAG caused by the production process has been still problem. In this study, Electro Adhesive Surface (EAS) applying a 3-dimensional micro structure fabricated by the photolithography was developed. To obtain proper structure, fixing force of EAS was investigated by changing struts diameter and pitch. As a result, larger struts diameter and narrower pitch between struts generated larger fixing force.
