Abstract
Maternal mean arterial pressure (MAP), uterine artery (UA) Doppler, and placental vascular indices have been proposed as first-trimester screening tools for pregnancies at high risk for pre-eclampsia (PEC); however, their relationship is unknown. We sought 1) to evaluate the relationship between first-trimester UA Doppler and measures of placental perfusion and 2) to determine if these measures are altered by MAP.
