Abstract

Abstract{2‐[1‐(2,6‐Diisopropylphenylimino)ethyl]pyridyl}palladiumdibromide (1) was synthesized and crystallized as red crystals from chloroform in the monoclinic space group P21/c or as yellow crystals from methanol in the triclinic space group P$\bar {1}$. Other solvents, such as THF and acetonitrile, gave mixtures of red and yellow crystals. With very little conformational differences between the molecules in the dimorphs of 1 the crystal packing is a herringbone array in 1‐red and a parallel array in 1‐yellow, with the supramolecular interactions differing in the Br···π and C–H···Br contacts.
